Coping
Clinic Adult Mental Health Outpatient Service
Eligibility:
- Adults over 18 years of age and older who are experiencing
psychiatric problems
- Problems include, but are not limited to psychotic conditions
that are active or in remission, mood disorders, anxiety disorders
and other serious and persistent mental illness.
Goals:
- To make quality mental health services available to the low-income
Eligibility of West Philadelphia.
- To provide pre-care, screening and crisis services designed
to reduce or prevent unnecessary hospitalization.
- To provide for the progression from the more intensive partial
hospitalization programs, through outpatient services, to termination
from the mental health system.
Services:
- Psychological assessment
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Individual, group and family therapy.
- Chemotherapy
- Case management and community outreach.
Locations:
- Main clinic at 4900 Wyalusing Avenue
- Clinic at Health Center #3 for persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS
Hours:
- Main clinic operates between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday, the hours
expand to 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Saturday hours are 9:00 AM to 1:00
PM.
- The Health Center clinic operates between 9:00 AM and Noon
on Tuesday and Friday.
